Candle care and safety

At BHRIVAA Candles, each candle is thoughtfully handcrafted to provide a beautiful and enjoyable experience. To ensure the best performance and safe use, please follow the guidelines below.

Order Processing & Dispatch

As most of our candles are handcrafted after your order is confirmed, dispatch typically takes 2–3 business days, depending on the order quantity and customization requirements.

Before Lighting

• Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch (5–6 mm) before each burn.
• Place the candle on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
• Remove all packaging and decorative materials before lighting.

During Use

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep candles away from children and pets.
• Burn candles in a well-ventilated area, away from fans, open windows, air conditioners, and drafts.
• Keep candles away from curtains, paper, fabrics, and other flammable materials.
• Do not move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is still hot.
• For the best performance, burn the candle for 2–4 hours at a time.

Extinguishing the Candle

• Extinguish the flame using a candle snuffer whenever possible, or gently blow it out.
• Avoid using water to extinguish the flame, as it may cause hot wax to splatter or damage the container.

After Use

• Allow the candle to cool completely before touching or moving it.
• Re-center the wick if needed while the wax is still soft (taking care to avoid burns).
• Keep the candle free from wick trimmings, matches, and other debris.

When to Stop Burning

For your safety, discontinue use when approximately 10 mm (½ inch) of wax remains at the bottom of the container.

Storage

Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture to help preserve their appearance and fragrance.
